Q10252 - FAQ: How can I setup a secure connection to the POP and SMTP server ?

This is a unique feature in the hosting industry provided by ISQ Solutions Inc. to all our clients.

Basically is a secure connection between your computer and our email service that protects your email data.

There are some modifications to make in your email client software. Please follow our indications:

 

Secure Host address:

Incoming mail (POP3): pop002.merchantsecure.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp002.merchantsecure.com

 

Outlook 2003

 

Outlook 2007

 

On Outlook under Advanced tab configure the ports as:

Outgoing mail (SMTP): 2525
Incoming mail (POP3): 995

In both case (SMTP and POP3) check "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" option.
